agrams- Thanks. We feel the tree succumbed to the 2011 drought. Over time, we removed dead limbs and dying parts of the canopy. For safety reasons, we had to take the remaining part of the tree down 2 years ago. We left the trunk part behind because at the time, we did not have access or means to haul it off. We are in Bryan and the area receives good drainage.

If I was able to get a 10-15" diameter log to you would you have the ability to turn it into a fire place mantle?
