I've wanted a little 410 snake charmer for years. I just starting looking for one and can't seem to find one anywhere. Anybody got any leads?
I'm cheap. I've always thought this would be a good cheap gun to keep in the barn or on a tractor.Strongwind86 said:
For my "snake charmer" I picked up a 20 gauge model (H&R) a while back from Academy. Stainless. Ended buying a Choate stock for it to store shells/etc in it. Paid like $150 for it.
Looking for a .410?
Why not a Taurus Judge or S&W Governor?

I have a Stevens/Savage 22lr/410 Over under that is one of my favorite guns. It was actually one of great grandpas saddle guns. A simple slide of a button could go from 22 to 410 depending on what kind of a shot you needed. I see them on sites like gun broker often for a few hundred bucks.
I like the portability of a pistol for toting around while shredding pastures but the patterning on a shotgun. A gun of that size can be cut down as short as you like so it fits near your seat while mowing. Cheap, reliable, and handy as all hell. Snakes and rats don't have a chance.LoudestWHOOP! said:
Yildiz .410 Single Shot Break-Open Shotgun ($100-130)
You could cut the barrel down to match the stock length at about 21"
Weighs 3.3lbs with a 28" barrel.
