Does anyone know if Academy will price match PSA? Anybody tried?


Academy will beat the price of a competitor by 5%:

I was wondering the same thing. PSA is not a local retailer and they are not on the list of specified online retailers so I would guess not.

Academy I go to here in OKC will only price match other stores in OKC or national print media deals

Guy at Academy by me told me he would match a deal for me off PSA. Haven't gone back in to try it yet though. He made it sound like some of the ther guys might not but he'd do whatever he could to make t happen.

No they have a very specific list of retailers they price match. Pissed me off when I tried to price match against "cheaperthandirt" and they said look at the specific list.

If I were in business I'd happily price match anything from CTD. My margins would go up drastically!

Probably depends on the store mgr. I asked a San Antonio store to price match a gun that I found online at primary arms down in Houston. The mgr said no intially because they weren't on the list but then I asked him if he could just knock 75 off as it was 100 dollar difference and the ffl was gonna run around 25 and he took it down 50, then applied their price match 5 percent which knocked another 32 bucks off.

I've had store managers at Scheels say they'd price match an online purchase, but then they would add the would be transfer fee back on to the price. It sounded fair to me.
