Most of these guys actually own nothing.

The one I had a problem with is Philip Norton.

Mine is in Tyler, TX. His name is Eddie Williams. Complete crook. He was referred to me by a friend. I checked several references. I had signed contractacts, etc... Didn't matter.

I had about the same.

Contracts mean nothing if there is no way to recover damages.

Norton operates under several names. C-M Contracting and Norton Enterprises and who knows what else.

Nothing but slick talk and promises.

Hate to say that one of the sorriest contractors in San Antonio is an Aggie grad. Hated to sue him; but he's a piece of *****

Guy fits the mold of the scammer.

Talk all day and never say anything.

The only thing that matters in project execution are results.

I like the idea of getting a performance bond. Wish I'd done it.

In the case of all these fly by night guys they couldn't get a performance bond so that would kill them off before any money changed hands.
