I would coach a 4h shooting team locally, but anytime anyone I know of has tried, it turned into a pissing contest.

Lots of kids activities I wish we could get going around here ( astronomy, rocketry, shooting etc) and get kids off their butts and out doing something that encourages them to learn a skill, or kindles a desire to explore, but anytime I've ever volunteered to help start a program up, one of two things happens:

Everyone wants to be the big chief and be in charge. Problem with all big chiefs, no little Indians, is that once they all get to be chiefs, no one actually wants to run things....just take all the damn credit.


That or more recently, I gave up when the "I don't want "it" around my children"
