I bought an Ambush 300 several months ago because I got a pretty good deal, but I have yet to get an optic. What do y'all that have an AR style 300 suggest??

I'm about to start putting together a 300 blackout myself and I am looking at this scope. I just got an email from Primary Arms about it being on sale right now.

Awesome, thanks for the info on it. All I'm looking for is a budget scope at this time so I can get the thing done. Eventually I'll look at a X-Sight so I can have the option of night vision for hog hunting at night.HumbleAg04 said:AgBass01 said:

I have one. Glass is ok. Seems like a good budget scope and has a bunch of positive reviews. I'm using it on a Ruger American Ranch that I have a suppressor on and plan on shooting <75 yards.

I'll piggy-back on this thread.
Looking at possibly getting an AR-10.
Optic suggestions for that?

of course this guy is talking about the .223/5.56 round, but the philosophy is the same.
I think he explains it well. you basically have to find out what works for you.
Yes, no way I can spend $1K on glass. I'll spend about that on the rifle once I sell some other items to fund that. I'll only have a couple hundred left for glass once I sell some things.dodger02 said:
AgBass referred to the P-308. I have one on my AR-10 and it's just fine for my needs. I considered a higher end scope, but couldn't bring myself to spending up to $1k on glass that didn't sit on my primary rifle. Not yet, at least.
