What an awesome experience. Have you read Steven Rinella's book "American Buffalo: In Search of a Lost Icon"? It is a great read about his Alaskan buffalo hunt.

Wow. Takes some stones to go on a trip like that by yourself. Awesome trip report, wish you could have made it home with the meat, skull and hide, but I'm sure it was worth it nonetheless.

Part 1 is amazing and cant wait to read about the rest of your trip. I hated reading that you lost the cape and skull but you did get some great pics of the bull to help ease the pain of losing such a beautiful animal mount

Fascinating story and love hearing about people getting opportunities like this. I know you're working on Part II, but when you're done with that, I'd love to hear some thoughts on what you might do differently. What would you change if you got the opportunity to do it again?
