There's an older gentleman who's a family friend in my town. He knows that I've built rifles for friends and family and he's always asking me to build him a rifle "that the government can't find". To him, that means "no serial number". He's like 70+ y/o and thinks the government has him targeted. I just tell him to buy from a private seller but he insists the government will find out.

BATFE has pulled sales/credit card records from 80% lower producers in the past. Unless you buy FTF with cash, you'll be on a "list". Doesn't matter if the gun has been on the books

It's only paranoia if they're not really out to get you. Considering CA, MA, NJ, etc and a likely POTUS who has said she likes and admires the Australian system......maybe not so paranoid.

That being said, I have a CHL, have bought guns in stores before so at this point I'm already on the list....so my plan is to just bury them in so much paperwork in return they can't figure out everything I own. Buy all the things.

I've probably got an extra lower from the Eyeguy group buy. I'll sell it to you paperwork free for $300.
