I have a 2016 Hobie outback. My dad wanted to try it out and his first morning sight casted and nailed a slot red in skinny water. Now he's hooked on this kayak thing. He wants to keep using it, but he may not have the stamina to paddle for long periods of time.
I don't keep much behind me so i have room for a good sized deep cycle.
So allow the tap the brain trust to make the best decision!!!!
What kind of mounting options do I have for a short shank trolling motor?
Can I mount it behind the rudder?
Will any mounting option allow me to keep the skinny water versatility of the outback?
Is 55lbs thrust to big?
I also don't need the trolling motor to move as I should be able to control the direction of the kayak with my rudder?
