Go get you a can of Great Stuff foam from Lowes or Home depot and squirt the whole can in that hole. That will help you figure out if there is a secondary entrance or not.

Don't know how this isnt on here yet either. Would obviously need to use the napalm solution though.

I had hundreds living in a railroad tie retaining wall by my driveway. I tried many things unsuccessfully. What finally worked was taping one of those household bug bombs to the end of a long PVC pipe. I set the bomb off and then stuck it directly in the hole using the pipe to keep my distance. Once there was no sign of life I filled the hole in with spray foam. That was the end of them.

F that. ID any potential secondary hole (not likely) by observation. And put lethal shat in the main hole unless you want to get your ass effed up.

Sounds like a yellow jacket bangalore torpedo. Impressive solution.

They can't eat through the spray foam, and that shiz is beyond sticky as hell. Use it to fill the hole you know about to ensure there is not a secondary hole. Once either you have been assured no secondary hole exists or you have identified it, begin assault.

The awesome thing about the spray foam is that gasoline, goo gone, etc. will eat right through it. You can kill them with death from above by slowly eating through the foam plug with your choice of liquid death and not have to worry about a flanking attack by pissed off hornets.

Buy a roll of 10' x 25' heavy duty black plastic sheeting. Roll it out over the area you think they live in. Anchor the corners down for a few days and let the sun bake those f'ers to death. No mess, no chemicals, no fire.

I can say from experience, dish soap+water+5 gallon bucket = winning

And I found a video!

Have some cold beverages with your buddies, remove plugs from shotguns,load all shotguns with #8 or #9 shot. Get one buddy that has been over served to agitate the wasp nest and run(stumble) out of the way, let the shooting begin as they exit the nest..keep shooting and re-loading until problem is solved..
Disclaimer: I have never done this with wasps but I have done it to a beehive in a tree with several
amigos... The trick is to not stop shooting at anytime until the flights have ended....
