Anyone have one that they love?

I need to replace the two on my back porch. Light kit is a must.

Dont want to spend a fortune but I dont buy cheap things either.

Just want them to look cool and put out some air.

thanks!

Don't get this one. I got it when we remodeled our patio. It looks cool and fits perfectly but it doesn't move much air.

Looking for outdoor fans too. Need to be flush mounts though. The winds I get at times will tear up a fan that hangs on a down rod.

We just built an outdoor covered patio a couple years ago and here's the deal.....unless you get some really high-powered fan, you aren't going to get a regular ceiling-mounted fan that pushes a lot of air. Reason being is that there are typically no walls on a patio to keep the air from flowing outwards and to keep it flowing downwards. The air flow just dissipates by the time you are 5-6 feet below the blades, even if you get one of the higher-rated CFM fans from Home Depot or Lowe's. I've sat on many nice covered patios and have yet to sit under a fan that was worth a damn.

Maybe get a Big Ass Fan? Not sure if they make a model that would work for your uses though...

Separate the light and the fan so you can get an item that's best at just doing one thing. A ceiling fan is not ideal on most porches. Get a wall-mounted caged fan with directional control. Can wire it always-on with a pull string.

My experience is different than others on here. We just installed a new patio with two open sides and installed this bad boy:

It pushes a lot of air but we're not outside now that it's freaking 100 degrees in the dadgum shade! We have the 62" blades.

Also, be sure the fan is rated for outdoor use. I did a lot of research and found that it's best to spend a little extra than to replace it in a year or two.
