Has anyone tried fishing Lake Lewisville in the area over by Lake Park golf course? Thinking of kayak fishing there this weekend and hoping to catch some largemouths.

I have not but thinking of taking the family out to Lewisville in search of white bass and crappie. Launching from Hidden Cove more than likely. Any idea on what they are biting?

If you see Dennis Rodman on the water, get off the water immediately!

I kayak fish Lake Lewisville at Tower Bay Park every Friday morning (I think that is what it is called) take the garden ridge exit off N35 and Follow the service road all the way north
Protected from the wind a bit there and have done alright with the fish.

No joke. That's why I never go on holidays.

Headed over in a bit.

Drive the extra 20 min and go to Ray Roberts instead. Better fishing for a kayak and much safer. Plus the sand bass are starting their schooling pattern, so you might get lucky and have a great trip.

Lake Lewisville is much better for ass fishing than bass fishing.

For kayak fishing, I'd either put in at pond creek, paddle about one mile north to an old sunken air strip, or I'd put in at the marina boat ramp and paddle south fishing the western shoreline all the way to culp island. Both should be good. The airstrip is nails for sandbass and no one really goes up there, you just have to know where it is.
