Anyone have any recommendations on where to go around the Houston area with a Kayak or just sitting on the bank to catch some catfish and enjoy some beers?

thanks

If you're willing to catch and release, Buffalo Bayou has a ton of catfish and is pretty fun to paddle around.

Float Buffalo Bayou then post a report. Interested in some urban fishing spots, too.

Where can you launch ITL? I drove around for an hour one day looking for a spot to launch between Memorial Park and downtown.

They just built a nice parking lot and path to the water at Woodway and 610, thats probably the easiest place to launch that I know of.

Lost lake also has a place to launch. It's at allen parkway and dunlavy. They have a visitor center, parking, restaurant, restrooms, etc. Also have a turnaround for kayak drop off.

You can also rent them there.

I kayak the lower stretches of cypress creek and catch bass, sunfish, crappie, catfish, and white bass. The San jacinto river and spring creek are also good. Launch at bridge easements.
