the etsy page is just generic stuff (bowls/boards) that I have made, nothing really custom. I have a facebook page at facebook.com/grams.woodworks that I usually keep track of my custom projects on (furntiure/humidors/cigar trays/etc). But I try to keep my facebook page specific to just sharing what I enjoy. I don't want to turn it in to one of those annoying pages where I just spam stuff I want people to buy. (probably counterproductive, but whatever)

You may have to dig through some of the photo albums to find cigar trays, but If you want, I can email you a collection of pictures of pieces I have done. just email me at grams woodworks at geemail dot com.

Cigar ashtray is something I'm looking for as well. Interested in how you could customize them (thinking an A&M logo in the middle, if possible).

I was telling him about the ash tray where you filled the voids with turquoise, and had the A&M seal. He went to Mississippi State but he played ball for Jackie there so he's all right.

claw, I can customize them with pretty much any emblem/medallion you can find. I typically have to draw a line at creating copyrighted logos and such, but if you buy a logo or challenge coin (similar to this one, which is what I commonly use)



then I can inlay that no problem. At that point, I am just incorporating someones personal property in to a project, not making or selling unlicensed A&M products.

I do have some mesquite pieces around this size with turquoise, but I think that may have been one of the more uniquely shapes pieces I had on hand. The only other pieces I think I have that are this unique are a bit larger (this was around 12" around, the next up I think is around 16" around)





There are endless design ideas to come up with on cigar trays. If you have some ideas, send me your thoughts. Coming up with new designs is half the fun of making something.

Would love to have one of your ashtrays, but I would leave it out on the deck and it would get rained on and ruined.

tattered, it is like mesquite. Very dense and takes a great sand/polish for a smooth finish. I haven't made knobs for a plane specifically, but I do turn most of my own tool handles/knobs, so not that far off. Just would have to find the threaded/studded insert to put in it that mounts to the plane.

Thanks Agrams. When it's time to overhaul my plane collection I'll likely want to swap out the knobs and totes. But that's for another day.

Been slammed at work all week, just wanted to let OP and other posters know that Agrams does top notch work. He just did a custom cigar tray and humidor/tupperdor box for me. The tray is like the custom mesquite pieces w the aTM seal he's posted on the thread. Couldn't be happier, tray is a one of a kind.

Just now getting into woodworking myself. More like rough carpentry right now. But damn, I'd like to graduate to this one day. Very fine work agrams!

Finn, Lead times depend on what type of item you are wanting. Usually I can get a cigar tray out in a week or so. Cutting boards I am stocking up on pretty heavily at the moment, so could get those carved and out in a day or two. Humidors take a few weeks depending on level of detail/design/etc.

Next to the bottom one is currently sitting on my desk and frequently makes the trip to the back patio for its intended purpose.

To note also got my dad (the original purpose of contacting Agrams) a tray for his Aggie Ring, Wedding Band, watch, coins, etc for his bedside out of mesquite with the bark on ala the first tray (sans turquoise). Turned out perfect as well.

Can't speak highly enough of the workmanship and collaboration on truly unique pieces.
