Has anyone bought one of the Columbia PFG totes? We saw one last weekend and are now considering that, but wonder how it stands up to the other soft side coolers and totes.

I've used my game guard a handful of times and it still hasn't leaked. Which is more times than most soft sided ice chests I've owned.

I bought a cheap one from Justin's and it leaked straight out the box.

Anyone tried the Engel backpack cooler? I can't decide between the polar bear or Engel.

I bought one. First trip out the zippers busted. Took it to a luggage repair ship and they put a heavy duty zipper on in (used on scuba suits). Cost me
$45. Now it's servicable, but I use my yeti hopper instead.

I have 2. So far so good. Filled it with a 12 pack and ice Thursday night and currently 1/4 the ice is melted.

I mentioned it in the RTIC soft side thread but the West Marine clearance deal on AO soft side 3packs is damn tough to beat IMO. I love ours and use all three sizes regularly.

+1 for Polar Bear

Couldn't decide what size I wanted so I went with the medium. Loved it! Then, just before Christmas I received a Buy One Get One Free offer in an email, so I got the other two sizes that I liked (the small and the large). Lucked out and won a medium Hopper at the Fly Fishing Film Tour, and while certainly a nice cooler, I still prefer the Polar Bear because it offers easier (wider) access to contents, plus I don't feel like I need to 'take care' of the Polar Bear. The Hopper is surely durable, but the finish seems like it will scuff up over time. Plus, the Polar Bears fold up or fit nicely inside one another when storing.

We get it. "Trucker hats, frat boys, stickers......."

This line of humor has only been used on here every damn day for the last 2 years

Surprised no one has mentioned Bison Coolers. Made here in Texas also.
