What's the best way to clean out a cooler that grew some mold inside of it? I only use it for food and drinks.

Clorox or vinegar with water is what I typically use

Let it sit in the sun afterwards as well to let the sun do its thing.

But dish soap and some clorax and let it sit for 1 hr plus.

Cool. Thank you. I thought about just using bleach, but I was worried to.

Should have got a YETI.... They maintain such a cold temp that mold cannot grow...

I usually get them in the shower and scrub the crap outta them with dish soap and a sponge. Dry in sun then wipe them out with one of the kitchen counter wipes things with bleach.

spray them with simple green first, let it sit for 30 sec then blast it with the hose. Will get a fair amount of the big stuff off.

I have two. Thanks.

This was a cooler I took to a party and left a couple of weeks ago. They didn't empty the water out.

Pressure wash it and then add some soap.

Pffft. RTIC coolers clean themselves!

Clorox cleanup is great. I think the yellow bottle is the kitchen one.

Thanks for all of the input. I went with the Clorox cleaner + bleach spray. Worked well. No scrubbing or anything. I just sprayed it on, let it sit a hour or so and hosed / wiped out with a rag. Looks like new.

I've done a lot of things in the shower but never with a cooler.

Not sure what you can do in the shower that you can't do with a water hose outside. But that's just me. Maybe you were raised differently.

Never use any cleaner with amonia .... It breaks down plastic; turns it yellow
