Here is the Kelly blue book. There is no way to factor in the extra $800 I spent on hard top and radio/speaker system. Retail is much higher than I am asking because I am trying to avoid storing it in Houston. I am not interested in going lower than $6K

Is $400 less really lowballing? It's literally 6.6% less than his asking price.

Perhaps you should have stated that up front. That would have been a perfectly reasonable response. These, however, are not:

Well to be fair he did not offer it for $6000 OBO ....that would imply the price is negotiable but if you asked "would you take less?" and response being no then move on b/c that is pretty clear he posted his bottom line on something clearly worth quite a bit more.

It is your product you are selling and you can ask any price you want. You can accept any offer you want. You have the right to accept a higher or lower offer from anyone you want.

If some guy wants to be a jerk then I guess he misses out on a great product at a great price because he wants to offer you lower than you will accept but and lower than you are asking......

If I could sell my Polaris Sportsman 500 I might be interested but my Polaris is still being repaired.

It's not hard at all to say, "Sorry, I'm not interested in selling below the listed value at this time. If I do decide to drop the price later, I'll call you."

If you post something for sale, TexAgs, Craigslist, anywhere, people are going to offer what they believe it is worth. If you aren't interested in those offers, you can add "FIRM" to your price.

Blue book on toys is subjective. Things are only worth what people are willing to pay for them.

since the blue book values are determined based off actual sales, then his 6000 number is already lower that what people are "willing to pay".
