How long do you want to ignore this user?
Anyone have any experience with these?

I'm looking into getting something to carry with me while running. I live out in the extended suburbs with multiple acreage lots, and sometimes there are dogs running around. I would prefer a collapsible baton, but don't want to also carry my concealed handgun, so that's out.

I figured this would be the easiest to aim and use if needed, plus I like the option of a belt clip to keep from having to hold it in my hand.

Thoughts or other options?

Yes

I've carried them for years. My wife and daughters (18 and 22) all carry them also.
I have one in each vehicle too. (They are Velcro'd under the steering columns)

Never had to pop one on anything, but based on the videos they appear to be very effective. I have taken shots with them when they expire and can confirm they do a very effective job of spraying even in the wind. I have all the confidence that it will neutralize whatever is causing you problems.

I also have a CHL and carry, but there are times when absolute use of deadly force may not be the best.... Not so much worried about being charged...more concerned with civil charges...

Example - walking the dog in the neighborhood. Large dog gets out/ comes through fence at us. I'd pop it with the Kimber PB first. Alot "cleaner" to deal with the "idiots" in the community without having to shoot their dog with my XDs. (Still have a second shot with the Kimber if the 'idiot" gets stupid...)

They are lightweight, easy to carry, durable and effective. I recommend.

Thanks guys.

Do either of you have the belt clip or carry pouch from Kimber? Or another "holster" type carrier?

I was originally just going to get the belt clip to clip in my running shorts, but now I'm leaning more towards an IWB holster with a belt clip, like the one here: Amazon.

Wife carries it in the morning when she runs. They do sell practice versions that have blue dye-ish water so you can practice without worry of getting in your eyes or something.

The ones in the car have Velcro to hold them in place. They are pretty lightweight.

I just usually stuff it in my pocket by itself (no keys/phone/wallet/knife/etc)
Much lighter than a small carry pistol. And it has a tab that helps keep it from accidentally going off. For the 5 years or so that I've carried in my pocket, never had an issue with it going off. Would probably be better if it was in some kind of holster....

Pick one up and handle it. See what you think. May be comfortable just keeping in your pocket.

Edit - I should probably get one of these for it...
