This will hopefully be another small businesses success story. A guy started his own company to design and build a powerful big bore air rifle. American Air Arms is about to release the Slayer in .357.

Bullpups are hot right now in airguns, and big bores are becoming popular with more people using them to take hogs and other game.

The company sent a model to an airgun blogger in Hawaii. Here's a short video he made shooting stuff with it. Gives an idea of how powerful and quiet it is.



He used it to kill at least one pig.



With a price tag of nearly $2000, it's not for everybody, but among high end airgun enthusiasts used to high end prices for high end guns, it looks like they might have a hit on their hands.

Time will tell. He might have a better product than Crosman. There's a segment of the market willing to pay higher dollar for better quality.
