Wife and kids are out of town and I am new to this area. I plan to get the cocaine and hookers out of the way this evening but that still leaves me with two days to fill. I need to make a trip to a gun range; preferably indoors. Don't mind driving anywhere within a two hour radius for really good BBQ or other things. Is there a decent archery pro shop in this area?

1. Eat tasty tacos (we don't have any of those here in East Tennessee).
2. Go buy a firearm or two.
3. Test said firearms out at the gun range.
4. Go do some fishing.
5. Eat more tasty tacos.
6. Profit?!?!

That's what I would do if I were in your situation.

For archery check out http://texasarchery.info/ and check out the indoor/outdoor ranges (Elm Fork Shotgun has an outdoor archery range, and on the other side outdoor shooting range)

For shooting indoors, Bullet Trap in Plano or their 'sister' high brow range in Frisco, Frisco Gun Club (very nice)

Joe Pool, Ray Roberts and Richland Chambers aren't far if you want to do some fishing.

If you are in to mountain biking the best riding in Dallas is at Joe Pool

Keep in mind, most of the area lakes are closed.

Go find some cheap gas station tacos.

Forget most of the bbq recommendations, those places are expensive....Hit up Odoms, Hardemans, or get adventurous and check out one of the oldest bbq joints most folks have no one has heard of, Crown's BBQ in Grand Prairie (actually one of my favorite eating establishments). Cash only, $10 should get you anything you want.

Fair Park. Oak Lawn after the SSM ruling. You guys are dicks. I might be new to the area but those are areas all Texans are probably aware of.

Perot Museum? Velvet taco. #7, elote and a frozen margarita. Want to watch people? Katy trail icehouse in uptown after you have a late breakfast at company cafe. Eat the deep bowl with an IPA. Run/bike/walk around white rock lake. Look at women while you do it. Sporting clays at elm fork. Sit on ass.

The cocaine and strippers are still in your way aren't they? I knew it..

I prefer Lockhart for Brisket... Pecan Lodge has GREAT sausage though.
10-50 BBQ in Richardson isn't half bad either

Forget BBQ, forget tacos and def forget exploring "fabulous" parts of town. Belly up to the bar at Pappas Bros for a couple pints of local brew, grab a bone in ribeye or porterhouse for two, finish with a "moon pie" and glass of Mac 25 for dessert and, if there's leftovers, eat the rest of the steak and moon pie for breakfast when you wake up a noon tomorrow ... enjoy bachelorhood!

Today has included church and then some Mexican food. I feel a good long nap coming on later today.
