A few weeks back I found this interestingly colored striped skunk in central Texas. Most white I've seen on one. Anyone seen any mostly white or all black ones?

I saw one near Ballinger that was solid grey with white stripes... I just assumed it was old. I saw it almost every hunt right at dark come crawling out of a delapidated barn.
Had one like that show up on the front porch at our farm one night. Except it was missing it's tail. Wouldn't want to be the coyote that was responsible for that.

Almost looks like a civet cat (spotted skunk) on the sides.
This was Llano County about a week before that
I bet it was the same one. We drove through Llano County, up 71 to Mason.

I almost stopped and took a picture, cuz I was like damn that coulda been a spotted skunk!
Skunks are gross no matter the coloration. The day I take a picture of a skunk. .
My Dad who trapped critters in the late 1930's (Depession Era) always said you wanted to catch the blacker skunk as they brought extra money (+/- 25 cents) because the black fur took die better than white fur.
