Tubifex worms in drainage pipe?

I was walking down the driveway this evening when I glanced down into the drainage pipe. There were thousands of these little worms under the water. Think these are tubifex worms? I've never seen anything like it.

Some of them definitely are big enough. I shot this with my macro. I'll shoot a wider shot to show the worm river in the morning.

They've dissipated some this morning, but all that light red are worms.
