Bought some Ariats based on an in laws recommendation and they are just not very comfortable for me.

Redwing Pecos fit my feet great, but some people hate them. I wear mine 5-6 days a week for around 14 hours a day and my feet never hurt.

Red wing pecos, have a pair that's going on 9 years, still great

I hated red wing. I just bought some ariat about 2 months ago and I absolutely love them.

If you don't mind tying laces Keen makes some really nice and comfortable boots with and without composite toes. I like mine a lot, I can be on my feet all day and still feel fresh at the end of the day. Really comfortable boots

I was gonna say dr martins before I saw the mfbarnes comment. Now I second guess myself.

Switched to laceup and it makes all of the difference on my feet. They even paired it up with some inserts for my feet.

I wear Ariat Quantum when I wear my cowboy boots. Ariats last me about 1-2 years max. Redwing should last a decade.

Yet again, this question is like asking "what's the best waist size?"

I believe How they fit, how they feel, how long they last is totally and completely based on the individuals body. My Redwings have always been the most uncomfortable. They are built and last about like my Justins or twisted x which is why I won't spend money on them. They just don't work for me. I'm with ariats now. We'll see. I jumped on the redwing bandwagon early in life but I don't think they are built any better than boots half their cost. That's me. If they fit and work for you then they are worth it. You may just have to buy a pair and see.

Weird, the red wings ive tried (multiple styles). All killed my feet where as the ariat work hog have been amazing

Redwing 4470 is the most comfortable work boot I have ever worn. They also are extremely durable.

For work I wear Redwing Pecos. I have some Ariats that I wear when I don't need steel toe.

I prefer Redwing, but have some Ariats and even a pair of Wolverine that are very comfortable.

Try on everything and buy what feels right.

I have a pair of older Ariats that are amazingly comfortable. So I bought a new pair recently, and they are no where as comfortable as my older pair (even accounting for age). The crepe sole has changed or something, b/c it is totally different now, and not for the better.

Red wings, doc martins, or if allowed, tactical boots like bates. I have used and love all of them

I love my red wings, but there was a long and brutal break in period.

Former RedWing wearer, now a Justin work boot fan (USA-made version). Wear mine daily, great fit and comfort.

mfbarnes is the new "blue horseshoe". mfbarnes loves endicott steel.

Picked up a pair of Tony Lama's (TLX Sierra Badlands Western Work) and they are super comfy. Felt broken in the day i got them and the upper is comfortable enough to where i can wear ankle socks with no issues.

I've had terrible luck with Ariats, not comfortable at all. The most comfortable pair I've owned that I currently have are a pair of lace up CAT work boots. I'd like to find a comfortable pair that aren't lace ups.

Where can you buy Red Wings?

Red Wing store. They are all over. The one in Katy was quite good.

I'm on my 2nd pair of red wing pecos. First pair lasted me 12 years and now are my junker boots. Well worth the investment!!

If steel toe boots aren't required, and the Pecos' are too heavy for your liking, ask about their Brogans. They are lace-up but I know many of men that swear by them for an everyday work boot.

Wolverine DuraShocks lasted me many 2on/2off hitches offshore. Buy a size big and wear 2 pairs of socks. Loved em till the sole crumbled away.
