I handled one at the store yesterday and liked how it felt. I haven't been able to shoot one but see how especially for home protection you could get around easily. I'm not familiar with the brand/gun so your opinions would be appreciated.

for a long time they were in very short supply, but they are becoming more common now. I occasionally see them for as low as 750 but 800 is still a decent price

They are interesting guns. Very "non-traditional". It's just a little weird shooting when I grew up with a Remington 870. Recoil isn't too bad when the gun is fully loaded.

All depends on what you want to use it for... It's a fun gun to play with. Very "tacti-cool".
Load up with buckshot and chase some hogs.
Don't think I'd shoot trap/skeet/sporting clays with it...

I've seen them (in the store) between $800 and $900 in the greater Houston area.

I like it and looked to get one, but don't want to pay $800 for a novelty. I guess home defense would be the main purpose, but the reliability is worrisome for that.

I think I would pick one up if I could get one around $500.

I've never shot one, just going off reports of jams when I was reading as much as I could about it. The last Saxet gun show I was at I saw a few just below $800. I am hoping that some will show up on the used market in the next couple years for a bit less.

I know a guy who has one. He used it for 3gun, but did have reliability issues with it. It went back to the factory a couple times. He said the biggest issue was users short stroking it.

Kind of like many of the stove pipes in semi autos being blamed on the gun instead of the limp wristed shooters.

I'm not crazy about having my hand that close to the muzzle with a pump gun

I've got one. Put a fore grip on the front to help with short stroking. Best home protection shotgun I've seen. Kicks like hell with buckshot

Watch the Nutnfancy video on this shotgun. An empty shell gets locked up in the action within the first few minutes. It's impossible to get out without disassembling the gun since the only way in or out is the bottom port. Not a firearm I would trust the lives of my family to.

That's because he's short shucking it. If you run it as designed the gun is very reliable.

The recoil is pretty bad, you'll have to buy some magpul sights or a red dot because they don't come with any type of sighting system. I have one, its a neat gun but not a "must have".

I like mine. We stress tested the crap out of it and never had a mis-fire or a foul. The key is exactly as others have already posted, don't dick around with the action, slam it all the way to the rear everything.

Outside of coolness factor, it is not a fun gun to shoot. It kicks like a mule. But, that is a non-mitigating factor to me because it's not a gun that should be shot often. It is a defensive weapon, not a sporting weapon.

IMO, they are well engineered and well made. The compact size of the weapon essentially gives you all the benefits of a 12 gauge riot gun but the compactness of a PDW. It is definitely a SHTF tool.

Also, as already pointed out, I have the magpul "wedge" installed on mine (my term, not theirs, can't recall what they call it) to give my hand something to grasp and to emphasize pulling my hand backwards and keeping my finger from slipping forward. There is a lawsuit in the courts right now where some dewsher installed a vertical Ar style handgrip with the single nipple touch point to the weaver rail. Long story short, he was using it to rack the slide and when the nipple broke he managed to blow most of his fingers off.

I'm gonna hold out until they have a semiautomatic version...

Looks like I can get one for ~$700...think I'll be getting one soon. Any final words of advice?
