i know a lot of you guys have these so hoping for some ideas. I have one and in addition to adding a hinged lid I'd like to build a table to go with it. I started off just wanting a rolling platform to set it on to move it in and out, but figured if I'm building might as well add some more to it. Have seen plenty of examples of kettle grills mounted inside a table. Only concern is heat that close to wood. have any of y'all built anything similar? No problems with heat? I have the 22.5 WSM.

I'd like to build a space for the cooker on one end kind of open so I can access to pull it out and clean it and assemble it at cook time, and then on the other side a good table top surface, maybe even tile it, with some storage cabinets beneath it.

Been on tvwbb but hasn't seen that one. That first link is awesome. Hoping to do something like that but open around the cooker instead of enclosed.

I built this one for a friend in the summer of 2013.



Works great, and was pretty easy to build. I put it on heavy duty casters so he could move it around easily.

That looks real nice. I could knock that out pretty easily. Definitely going to put it on casters so I can get it and out. Have thought about mounting rubber mower tires on it as I have a concrete lip I'm going to have to get over.
