Pork loin ideas?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Got me some nice looking pork loins from HEB today. What say you OB? Roasted in the oven? Can you do them on the grill even if they are rather large cuts of meat?

I smoke them whole and I also smoke then stuffed with boudin. Seasoned and wrapped in bacon either way.

This is the last one I stuffed with boudin. I dressed it up a bit for all the kids that weekend.

Bought the boudin at Kroger. Don't remember what brand. I took it out of the casing before putting inside pork loin. That much I do remember.

One of my most memorable meals ever was porkloin in a chipotle reduction sauce at Starlight Theatre in Terlingua. Spent all day seining and electrofishing RG just downstream of Santa Elena in 30+ degree weather. That was a great meal.

What temp did you smoke it at and for approx how long? Also, the boudin kind of looks like a penis.

I also stuff with boudin and jalepenos and wrap in bacon. Smoke it. Or crank your oven to 425 and roast for about an hour, hour and a half.

X2 on smoking. I just coat lightly in olive oil, season with a good rub, and smoke with mesquite at about 140 for a couple hours, then move it to the gas grill over low heat for about 20 min to finish it. So easy and it's freaking delicious.

Buddy of mine stuffs his with cream cheese stuffed jalapenos and then wraps in bacon. That's a lot of awesomeness.

I've done that as well. Tell him to throw a couple green onions down the middle and thank me later.

I've given this recipe to several OBers and it was part of the cookbook. Everyone that's had it swears it's the best loin they've ever had. Use it. You will not regret it.

Rubbed and Grilled Pork Loin

1 pork loin
olive oil
4 tsp sugar
4 tsp paprika
3 tsp onion salt
3 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander

Brush pork with olive oil on all sides. Stir together seasonings. Rub over pork to cover. Place pork on medium hot grill and cook for10 minutes on each side to brown. Movepork to indirect head on grill. Cook coveredfor 70 90 minutes.

Bacon weave on a seasoned pork loin. If you don't wrap all the way around, then position position fat side down with bacon around the exposed meat.

Smoked Wild Hog: Used a lot of the seasoning listed above. But also marinated overnight in some homemade salsa a coworker gave me. Amazing.
