Looking for recommendations for fishing guides (specs/reds) in Port Aransas area. thanks in advance!

There is only one choice for Ags... Aggie Guide Service. Brian Preston. Great guy, works off of air boats and bay boats. Also has a cabin at his house that he rents out.

Look up george Rose. He's an Aggie. Has an air boat and bay boat. Fished with him many times. Funny guy and great with kids. Been at it a long time. He can fish from Port a to Port O'Conner.

Always catch fish with him. One time we had a slow day. No one caught fish ( watched everyone come in with two or three fish). We had maybe four or five reds and he took us back out another day for just gas because we were Aggies. We crushed them the free trip. I tried to pay and he wouldn't take my money. Class act. You can pm and I'll give you any info on the guy.

He doesn't fish drum unless he has to. I personally like that. He's trout and reds. We only catch drum If we have limited on something else or that's all we can get.

Just my two cents.

Have used Brian Preston twice. He got us on fish on one slow day that was looking bad. Great guy, reasonable, good equipment.

George is not cheap. But if you don't catch fish he doesn't charge. Pretty cool. He's very Aggie friendly. Works as hard as any guide I've ever seen and I've fished from Florida to Hawaii. I'm sure any Aggie guide is the best!
