Looking for some pigeons for my pup in the Dallas area. Don't really want to pay for some stupid show/racing bird, or have to lie to someone about what I'm going to do to it.

Any leads on where to buy some cheap or feral birds?

Maybe an LA supermarket has some in the back.

Check local feed store. Also check local retriever clubs.

It's fun to trap them from under bridges etc. Lion Country supply has them. They also have pigeon house plans. I've done both. Just adds another dimension to the game. Dr. Pete

One of my professors used to trap them on the roof of the Halbouty Building.

Contact some local exterminators or wildlife removal companies. They are often contracted to remove unwanted pigeons from business buildings.

Our training club has a local guy we work with that sells us hundreds every year for $2 each.

About a month ago I was driving under a hwy 59 bridge near Sugar Land at about 4:30 am and saw two guys with very long handled nets getting set up to catch pigeons.
