I've used Stanley coffe thermos' for years and years and have always liked them. But, over the last few years I've had really bad luck with them losing their seal and not keeping my coffee hot. I've sent several in and they've sent me a new one only to go bad within a years time. My dad has had the same problem.

Have any of you had a similar experience? I'm looking to switch to a new thermos brand, any recommendations for a high quality, durable thermos for hunting?

Does Yeti make one yet?

On a serious note I would just check amazon reviews and pick the highest rated in your price range. I don't drink enough coffee to have ever worn mine out.

Yea, but unfortunately they only want $30 for it...

I've had my eye on one of these hydroflasks

Why don't you just drink it before it gets cold?

I bought an LL Bean vacuum bottle about 5 years ago because a family member sent me a gift card and I had to use it on something. To date, I use it about 3-4 times a year and have been very happy with it. Used it just last week, filled it before I hit the road at noon and my coffee was still hot when I poured my first cup at 1am.

The exact one I bought doesn't show up on their site, so... I don't know of the other large bottle they have is better, worse, or the same. I also can't tell you how it'll fare under daily use.

I guess with coffee at every gas station, the days of filling a thermos are partially a relic of times past.

I use a hydro flask with the flip lid like this one, and so far it has served me well, but only a few months of daily use so far.

I use the 1 quart one... like this: Stanley 1.1 Qt Thermos

It works pretty well and will keep coffee hot for at least 24 hours.

The Big Bubba brands of work very well also, but not sure if they make a large capacity thermos or not.

I've used hydro flask for a little over the past two years. I love it! They make a quality product that does exactly what they say it does. It is the yeti cooler of water bottles. With that being said, I just had one of the three that I own lose a seal (it had been banged around a little bit). I've bought several for family and friends and they all seem to really enjoy it as well. However, they are a bit pricey and that is their biggest downside. I just bought a lifeline (fiftyfifty?) brand water bottle for my girlfriend. They are about $5-10 bucks cheaper and look like a quality knock-off.

Thermos brand coffee mug. Have had mine for ~4 years and it still hold a perfect seal. Coffee hot all day even in my cold truck (Iowa).

Have had "The Rock" by thermos for over 2 years. It's taken a beating and will still keep coffee hot for over 24 hours. I use 5-6 days a week. 2 guys at work have gotten one on my recommendation and love theirs too.

I've had excellent luck with the classic Stanley. Field & Stream or Outdoor Life did a gear comparison on the top vacuum bottles within the last year and the Stanley was the "best buy".

I've got a Yeti 30oz Rambler. It's freaking great. Coffee stays "hot" from 7:30 till noon while at work. It really does the job well. I wish it had a handle but I can get over that fact. It's worth the money, unlike the coolers .

They work great for a whiskey drink too. Keep the drink cold for a long time as well

Does this fit in a cup holder?

Have the yeti 30oz, Stanley soup and regular green thermos as well. Use the yeti everyday in the company truck. Fits one of the cup holders not the other. It is tapered at the bottom, so it should. My personal dodge truck has shorter holders and it is a tall cup, so I have to keep an eye on it.

Yeti is more usable on a daily basis and keeps ice all day during the summer. I still use the Stanley's, but not as often usually hiking / lunch that we need a seal on.

I am by no means a Yeti zombie, and have no use for an uber tough cooler that keeps ice for months on end but the cup is pretty 'effing nice. Getting the wife. 20oz for Christmas.

Yes it does, the bottom of the cup is necked down and it fits in a golf cart cup holder as well as my F-150's cup holder without falling over

I have that same Hydro Flask 64 oz growler. I use it all the time for cold water. On really hot days I keep it inside a box and it still keeps the water cold all day. If it sits on the truck seat in 100 degree days, the ice will melt in a few hours. If it is a moderate day (maybe 70's) it will keep ice cubes for about 2 days.

I have never used it for hot drinks but I am very happy with it, especially the fact that it is stainless and leaves zero aftertaste.

Love "The Rock".. I've had one for over two years and use it almost everyday.. It's beat up and ugly but does exactly as this guy says... Would recommend ..
