I thought it was Teflon coated cookware that ate your brain?

Just don't get hit over the head with a Teflon pan.

Seriously, just don't overheat it. If you do overheat the pan, throw it away.

Several years ago, I walked into the kitchen area in our office and saw some twerp cooking eggs in a Teflon pan I had at the office. The twerp had the heat on high. (I hate to imagine how bad eggs would be cooked at such high heat.) I took one look at it, turned the stove off, took the plate out of his hand, and dumped the eggs and pan into the trash.
Did he punch you square in the face?

He's going to punch me in the face for throwing my pan that he just ruined in the trash and my eggs that he took out of my egg carton? If he had, I would have filed a complaint with the sheriff's department for both assault and battery and for theft.

Also, who put out the fire you started by throwing a hot pan with hot oil into a trash can??

I'm completely baffled at how you think that throwing a hot pan with a little oil into the trash could possibly start a fire. Have you ever seen a fire start that way? Neither the oil nor the pan is anywhere near hot enough to bring materials in the trash to a temperature hot enough to cause it to start burning.

While I certainly wouldn't advise it, you could probably drop the pan into gasoline without igniting it.

The only thing I take is Vitamin D.

I don't get it. Are you saying that taking Vitamin D is gay?

Eric, "vitamin D" has been used in the past
as a crude euphemism for, ahem, laying the wood. Hence my supremely immature (though it still makes me chuckle) reply.

Are you sure that you aren't thinking about Vitamin F?

People take multivitamins? I thought those were for kids.

The only thing I take is Vitamin D.
I take a multivitamin. I am not a kid.

I'm not convinced that taking most supplemental vitamins and minerals provide any benefit more valuable than the cost of the ink it takes to make the label.

Vitamin D is one exception, but the amount of Vitamin D you would get in a multivitamin is hardly worth the trouble.

Someone will be worried about everything... I hear that if your toilet paper has too much cotton in it, you'll get cotton fibers up your anus and will cause rectal bleeding that will cause the aids...

My great grandparents had two pieces of cookware. They had a cast iron skillet and a cast iron dutch oven. They had multiple meals a day out of them for 70 plus years and never developed any iron issues. So, let's all run scared and throw away all our cast iron.

If Eric has convinced anyone to get rid of their cast iron, let me know. I'll gladly take it off your hands.

Heck, I'd even take the pans people were melting lead in. I'm thinking media blasting, steel wool, etc. would take out enough layers to remove the lead. Sure, I'd test it, but I'm thinking it would be possible to reuse.
