I was watching a video last night of flying fish and thought it would be a blast to shoot at them. In fact, I would pay money for someone to take me out to shoot flying fish. Is this legal? I bet one could make a charter business out of it.

It doesn't suck. I'll leave it at that.

Why wouldnt it be? Legal to shoot all kinds of **** from a moving boat, just not game animals.

The flying carp I have seen in the videos in the midwest are freaking big. Better bring a 10 gauge.

Based on the video's I've seen on guys bow-fishing for them and fish jumping in the boat and hitting archers....Looks like a recipe for a Darwin award winning video when two or three guys off each other simultaneously with cross fire and accidental discharges as fish are flying all over the back of the boat.

That being said....I think its a great idea and I fully support your efforts.

Flying fish blow up around us when fishing 90 plus miles offshore at night around the heavily lit oil rigs. We successfully fished top waters simulating flying fish and caught yellowfin tuna. It would be too ruff most of the time to shoot a shotgun with any accuracy.

What if one was to, let's say, mount the gun to the boat while hunting? Point an shoot like a turret style thing?
