I think it'd go the other way. By the time anything came out, you'd be crapping diamonds. No need for the toilet ever again.

I found and caught a tarantula in my backyard. Our neighborhood was still in new construction mode, so I decided it would be funny to put it in one of the port'o'potties.

I never saw the result, but I like to imagine a construction worker had a nice surprise when going to take a leak the next morning.

Alcohol may or may not have been involved.

I'm a spider puzz. I think MOST people are scared of something and snakes OR spiders seem to be near top of most lists. Dad - it's snakes, Me - spiders.

Anyway, speaking of tarantulas - one day I was driving down the road near the Arroyo Colorado in some sandy country where they have tarantulas. I looked up and there was one right in the middle of the road, so I stopped, grabbed a 5 gallon bucket out of the truck bed and tell myself, "Self, today we are going to make big step in self-confidence and deal with irrational fears. We are going to catch this tarantula in this bucket and take it home to show the kids."

The closer I got to him the bigger he got, and when I got about 10 feet away that bastage reared up on his hind legs and started walking TOWARD ME. F' THAT.

I use to catch tarantulas all the time when I was younger. I'd have my parents pull over between Schulenburg and Halletsville on the way to my grandparents. I'd catch one or two and keep them for a while. They made cool pets and were pretty easy to tame enough to where you could handle them.

I had a pet tarantula in college. A really cool pet. Well, when I graduated and was about to get married my wife said the thing had to go.

Long story short - if anyone ran into a rose hair tarantula near the duplexes on trace meadows (off of wellborn rd)...you're welcome

As a kid, I used to catch tarantulas all the time. We would find holes in the ground covered in a thick web out in my grandparent's pasture. Tear the web off, pour some water down the hole, and the tarantula would come right up to the top. Sometimes they would come all the way out, but most of the time I'd jab a stick into the ground underneath them to pry them out. They are usually very gentle, unless provoked. Many of them turned into target practice for my Benjamin .22 cal. Others I'd pick up and handle and just turn loose. I even kept a few as pets in an old fish aquarium. I had one in particular that was the biggest I'd ever caught that I kept for probably a few months. I'd catch other tarantulas and put them in there with him and watch them fight to the death.
