Thinking about getting a pop up camper.
We've used them before and had a lot of fun.
The pop up would be easy for us to store at the ranch during the "off season" or in the garage at home during the good camping months.
I've read on here though that people prefer travel trailer's over pop ups.
A travel trailer would have to sit in my driveway during the week before camping trips which wont work.
How do yall store your travel trailer?
Do you rent at a storage yard? How much does that usually run (north Houston area)

The side of my home, but I live in BFE, Va. I winterize, keep it plugged in, run everything but just not as often as I would during the summer or traveling month's.

Don't forget to check your zoning and/or HOA regulations as there might be some rules about where you can park the trailer, even temporarily. My township doesn't allow trailers of any kind ahead of the front line of the house for longer than 72 hours. Because of that I store mine in the back yard, but pull it next to the house for trip prep and power access in order to cool the fridge.

During the winter, my father keeps his in a barn at his county's fairgrounds. They rent out barn space for RV/trailer storage, which is great for keeping it out of the winter weather. The only downside to it is that they have a hard deadline for trailer removal in the spring.

Get a bucket of Damp Rid from Lowes/Home Depot to absorb the moisture and check it occasionally. Pull the camper out occasionally during the off season, open it up and let it air out over a weekend.

Do NOT put any kind of tarp over your camper to try to protect it. It will actually hold the moisture in the camper, exacerbating the mildew issues.
