Time to build a new set. My old set that is worn out are just classic 1 hole boards covered with some indoor outdoor carpet. I'm debating between building 3 hole or 5 hole boards this time. What say you OB? Also if anyone has any plans for 3 hole or 5 hole that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently building a set of Corn Hole boards and thinking of building another set of Washer boards (3 hole). I'll be following this thread for ideas.

I have built close to 10 sets of the 3 hole washer boards.

Currently finishing up a corn hole set. The washer boards are much easier to build than corn hole.

1)no legs to worry about for the right angle
2)no sanding the top to get it smooth- just wrap it with carpet

I'll probably build mine flat so it's easier to stand on after several cold day beverages.

Pits or nothing. Baseball dirt with 2x borders at 21'. If portable is a must, my vote is cornhole.

What happened to putting a piece of 3" pvc in the ground walking 21 feet away and putting another one in the ground? I had never heard of these East Texas commie 3 & 5 hole washer games until college. Don't get me wrong, they are still fun & I love pitching any type of washers. I guess I'm just partial to the in-ground style.

I don't think the university would be OK with people drilling holes in their asphalt during tailgates.

I want them to be portable that's why I'm building boards rather than putting pits in the backyard. Once we get moved I likely will do horseshoe and washer pits in the backyard.
