I'm close to starting my 6.8 build and am going to dip it before I put it together.

Question, do you dip the lower with the buffer tube on it with stock fully closed, or dip lower receiver separate from the stock without the buffer tube?

Remove the parts from the upper and lower before you dip it. Otherwise you risk compromising the mechanics of the rifle.

All of that aside, I wouldn't dip the gun. I'd rattle can that *****!

I'm definitely going to dip it before I assemble the upper or lower. Just wonder about the buffer tube.
