I am ashamed to admit that I don't have a clue what any of the description means outside of "barrel", "trigger" and "chassis". And even then, I'm unsure what they mean by chassis!

Bronze colored Cerakote?
quote:

Yes, I think the name is actually burnt bronze. It's a pain to get the metallic flakes to suspend properly and look good. It looks even better in the sun light.

[Edit: I took the target down b/c it doesn't do the rifle justice. I'm still in load development phase.]

I have the OB to thank/blame for setting me up with Scout Supply Company. If you've never had a custom built for you, and you'd like one, but have no idea what you're doing, then Russell is the guy to call. He'll walk you through the process and won't make you feel like an idiot like many other gunsmiths out there. During my first build I really got into target/precision/long range shooting. This is my 2nd SSC rifle, and I'm going to have another built for matches. Probably a 6.5 x 47 Lapua. I haven't actually shot in a match yet, but I'm working on it. Lots of fun, and a very challenging sport.

This rifle is set up to look "tacti-cool" because it is going to be in a magazine article in a "Special Weapons" type of publication. It was used to test and evaluate the Thunderbeast 30P-1 Suppressor hanging on the end of the barrel. The writer gets all of his transfers done in my store, and he's going to mention SSC and the store in the article. This set up is a bit heavy, but I may keep it this way and use it in F-Class.
