This will be my first spring in Ft worth and I have no clue where to begin. Is there anywhere around here with a good run?

Never really did a lot of creek fishing during the run. But when I did it was at Grapevine.

Park at the 377 bridge and walk up the creek towards the lake.

Not much of a creek right now on Eagle Mountain.

Sorry that's all I got.

My brother and I used to hike back along Mary's Creek in Benbrook form some small catfish and other stuff. There's a pier out on Eagle Mountain I've been wanting to try out called Augie's. I've also thought about scouting out the damn at Lake Benbrook. I've been looking for some new places to try too.

One spring my dad and I got on the sand bass from the bank. We cought one after another. We had never before or since caught anything out of benbrook lake. Ft worth is pretty bad for fishing. Don't eat anything out of lake worth.

Denton Creek is the 377 creek in Grapevine discussed earlier. Great lakes around here if you have a boat.

I've had good luck on Lewisville during the crappie run, not so much on Joe Pool (closer to the house), but have heard some decent reports over the years.

I used to fish the clear fork above be brook. The bridge near whiskey flats on 377 is where you park on north side. It is corp land so walk down to river. I took waders and would cross over to get away from folks. If there was flow there were normally fisH.

Also could find them on brazos above lake Whitney. There is also a creek that goes into eagle mountain that was popular. I just cannot remember the name.

Good luck.

There are a lot more fun things to do in FW than fish

Lake Arlington has good bass and catfish. Benbrook has nice Hybrids and catfish.

Worth has lots of good fishing, but as stated above, don't eat them.

I fish Benbrook and Arlington a lot out of my kayak.
