I'm about to build a new stand. Anyone have any plans or pics of any you like?

Any features that you like/dislike?

I like blinds that have space heaters

do not make windows that fold down. it's stupid. they should either slide or hinge up.

I built an elaborate stand this past spring and summer. My advice... build the tower/platform, and buy a fiberglass box to bolt onto it. I used the steel Elevator brackets for the legs and treated 4x4s for legs and framed the platform out with 2x6s with 3/4" treated plywood.

Ditto, OP. Looked at buying one, but lawdalmighty they are expensive. Thinking about building one, myself.

I spent several weekend last off season building an 8'x8' box. Was a ton of fun and I went a little crazy on the design.

I used the foil skinned bubble wrap for insulation in the walls and in the ceiling. I put up pegboard on all the inside walls for hanging shelves or anything else. I also dropped two marine batteries in a box underneath, and connected them to a solar panel on the roof. Then there's a power distribution system inside that runs to lights and car chargers for powering just about anything (saved a spot for an inverter for later).

Bet the hunters in the stand 10ft away are really upset with you for putting your stand so close to theirs.

Ha. Yeah, we pulled that one down and moved it to another location. I like that picture because it gives some perspective of just how much roomier it is in the bigger stand over the old stand.

ETA: I also like the new spot better as it gives me a much better angle down the fire lane.

What kind of "activites" do you plan on doing in there?

If you're not heating/cooling it, does the insulation do much for you?
I'm thinking of building one after the season, but I'm not sold on insulating.

Likely building one this off season as well. Trying to figure out how high and what I can get away with weight wise at currently unknown height.

You could pay for that sucker by renting it out to a family of illegal the rest of the year!

The insulation really makes a big difference, most notably in the summer (but that was more when I was building it). I don't have the windows sealed right now. Just screen in the windows. I'm planning to add sliding plexiglass panels to each window. Once those are on, I have a feeling that I can keep the whole box warm with a small space heater.

I put dark screens in each window and then covered the backside windows that sit behind me when in the stand. By doing this, I can sit in front of the window and small movements are very difficult to see from outside at 50 yards.

I'm thinking of getting a small hammock to hang in there.

Me and a buddy pulled a lot of lumber off an old pig barn out at my farm and are in the process of finalizing the design of the blind we are trying to build.

A guy at work used a free architectural program to give us some rough plans. You can have actual dimensions, they just aren't shown on these pictures. I'm shooting for a 4X8, I think it turned out pretty well so far.

Sadly, I never really took pictures of the inside. I also kind of ran out of time before season started and never got the inside finished off (hence the lack of sliding windows). The pegboard walls are up and all electrical was completed. Now that the off season is back, I'll probably start looking at finishing off the inside with shelves, sliding windows, etc.
