I apologize if this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it anywhere in a forum search.
I received a Glock 19 Gen 2 made in March 1991 for Christmas.
After doing some research, in 1992 Glock issued a 6 part "Upgrade" that they didn't want to call a recall due to cost. I've seen conflicting views online of whether to send the gun in for the upgrade parts or not. According to what I've found, I should have bare metal trigger linkage if the upgrade has been done, but mine is black which indicates original. A big thing that several people say is bad about the upgrade is the old extractor is way better than the replacement they put in.
I took it to the range yesterday, and it shoots like a dream. Fits great in my hand (hate the finger grooves of gen3&4, that's why I was given gen2) and after running a few magazines through it I was hollowing out the center 3-4" of the bulls eye of the target at 10ft.
What is the OB's opinion on getting or not getting the 6 part upgrade? I hate to mess with a good thing if not necessary.
