Howdy! There is a small isolated population of these pine trees near my parents house in eastern Brazos County. I have been trying to figure out what they are and am attaching a few pictures of the biggest pine there, which is over 12 feet around. Thanks!

Almost certainly loblolly pine

I have some of the cones though and they aren't as fat as the loblolly cones I've seen. Could it be hybridized with something else?

If loblollythe needles will be in bundles of 3. Almost certain to be loblolly though based on size alone.

Agree with the Loblolly assessment.
The needles almost look like short leaf on the canopy picture, but the bark, diameter, and location make me think it is loblolly.

Loblolly and shortleaf can be very hard to tell apart sometimes. They both vary in needle clusters of 2 or 3 and they can even have similar needle lengths.

Longleaf and Slash look significantly different.

They're pine trees, all right.

That tree is 4.045188 feet in diameter.
