I've been hunting out west of Katy and haven't had much luck. In the last two trips I've only bagged 2 dove (1 per trip).

Anybody seeing good hunting in the same area as me (am I in the wrong spot)?

Anybody have a recommendation as to where I should go to put some birds down? I'm changing jobs and have a few weeks off. Would be happy to make a day trip if it was to put some birds down!

You can try starting on September 1. Since opening weekend around Katy and Waller, its been kind of hit or miss.

A little late in the season, there is only another week or 2.

Bummer. I figured it'd be a little sparse towards the end of the season but didn't know if there were any other regions that would be any better that I might be able to go check out - I've only really hunted in the Dallas and Houston areas

Group with my Dad, cousin, and uncle limited out in Pearsall last weekend.

Like Lexofer posted, find a lodge/ranch in South Texas and call them to see if they have birds. Your next post could be asking if anyone had a rec for a place in South Texas to Dove Hunt. It is not going to be free.

I've hunted birds with Four Seasons and enjoyed it, but can't say we limited. Great lodge for sure. Trying a new outfit this year so fingers crossed.

Didn't shoot a damn thing this year! Saw maybe 1 or 2 but too far from the kill zone

He is very careful about managing the hunting pressure to keep the birds around. $80.
