Has anyone on here used a Weatherby SA-08 Deluxe 12 gauge Semi Auto Shotgun before? I can find it for less than $650 which is very budget friendly. Everything I have read so far is that it is a nice gun for a lot less than the most popular brands. Thanks in advance for your incite.

I have the PA08 and its a beautiful gun- really like the walnut.

Yep, two coworkers bought them, one in 12, one in 20. Once you get the little ring spacer set right for light vs heavy loads they run real good!

I bought one last year. Taken it on many duck and dove hunts and have had no issues. Very light weight and comfortable. It is also pretty durable. I am pretty tough on my gear and it seems to be holding up to the challenge. FWIW

Likely walnut. I already have a duck gun and really don't like synthetic on anything but for duck gun.

I have a Weatherby SA-08 Upland 12Ga. Have had it for a couple of years. Its is a very cost efficient shotgun that will give you the same performance as some of the high end brands. Its shoots nice and is reliable. Everybody knows Weatherby makes outstanding rifles but most people don't realize that Weatherby also makes a pretty good shotgun. They see its made in Turkey and get turned off. Well Akus makes the gun and Akus is a very good shotgun maker in Turkey plus all the shotguns must exceed Weatherby's quality control specifications. If you by a SA-08 you will happy. I also have a Benelli M2 12Ga which it shoots great too but its cost twice as much.

Randy Wakeman is a big fan.
