I was wondering if anyone knew of any reputable goldendoodle breeders in Texas. Preferably breed F1B but F1 may work. I want to keep it under 1200 but I don't know if that is possible

I have looked on the web and find many outdated breeder sites or really expensive

Standard poodles are good dogs. I'd take a goldendoodle over a yip yip dog anyday.

We have one. Great dogs, virtually no shedding, great personalities. Compliments our older chocolate lab perfectly. He is our 2nd golden doodle and we got them both from the same breeder outside Miami, OK. Not what you're looking for but let me know if you want any info.

I'm fully aware of the poodle history. Monkeys are smart too, and I still hate them. Poop flinging evil bastids.

Besides the fact that they are, well, poodles, the name itself indicates nancyness. The only people that should own poodles are bluehairs. Same thing with shih tzus.

I have a golden and he is a great dog. Does not shed at all which is great for inside dogs. We drove up to OK to get him because I didn't want to pay 1200 bucks. Found him for 600 bucks. Worth the drive.

If standard poodles are that great (personally, from what I've seen at retriever training sessions, they're just about ruined), then just get a poodle? That be less of a f a g move than getting a yuppy poodle cross.

As a matter of fact he is at the office with me right now.

He is an F1 and really doesn't shed. I like his coat more than the F1Bs (shaggier, not as curly). Great pup!

we got him from stroodles doodles, about an hour and a half north of Dallas. A little on the other side of your price range.

I would consider paying extra for a pup that has a good guarantee on the hips. Both standard poodles and goldens can have problems with hip dysplasia. My theory is that you will save lots of $$ if you can avoid that issue.
