Headed there Thursday with the rib and her family. Any good fishing around there or is it even worth trying?

My wife's sister & husband live in Bandera, about a mile off the river on English Crossing.

Go to the low-water crossing there (you'll need to park up the hill a ways) and you'll find deep pools above and below the crossing that hold Guadalupe bass, bream, and Rios.

I might be wrong but I believe the Medina River is dry.

A lot of it is dry. We desperately need rain in our watershed.

I live on the river below the lake and it is barely running here.

Thanks y'all. Sad to hear its dried up but not surprised considering how brutal the summer has been already.

Above the lake rarely runs fully dry but it has dried up and gone underground well above the lake these last several years.

You can catch some good fish. Just use a small lure.
