Old Weaver and Redfield scopes?

I have a very old Remington 511-p (my grandfather's first gun) that has a Weaver side mount with a Weaver C6 scope. The gun is still a great shooter (shot a dime at 50 this past weekend) but deserves a better scope. I'm hoping to find an old 3/4" Weaver or Redfield and was hoping for some input from y'all.
I've had some difficulty finding information about the different Weaver series but think I've determined that the J-series might be my best bet. I don't know how the Redfields fit in optical quality-wise or how they are rated.
Thoughts? Any of y'all have any old 3/4" Weaver or Redfields lying around collecting dust?
TIA

I have a Weaver K-10 from back in the 30's that is still a great scope. I also have a Weaver 4x on my uncle's old .22, but I couldn't tell you what series it is. It's not the greatest glass out there, but for this .22 it works well and I won't change it because it was my uncles before he passed away.

I don't know about any of the other series, but the K series were steel bodies and hell for stout. I've honestly not heard anybody say anything negative about them, outside of the fact that they are an old model of scope and just aren't going to compete with today's modern offerings.

Here are a bunch of them on ebay you might want to check out (assuming you are looking at a more vintage style scope anyway)

That's about all I have as far as input. Sorry it is pretty much of no use for you.

I have a 3/4" weaver 6x. Won't be home till this evening if you want picks. Email is in my profile.

It's in nearly mint condition, I bought it a few years ago to use on one of my 03-a4's.

Check the classifieds at www.24hourcampfire.com

They have stuff like that all the time.

Because of the nature of the scope mount, without some serious gunsmithing, it will only accept a 3/4" tube so while there are much nicer modern 1" scopes, I'm stuck looking at nice-in-their-day optics if I want anything of quality.

Figured rule #1 might help a bit.
The 3/4" scope mount:

Hand carved checkering and ebony/ivory work my grandfather did on the stock:

He also shortend the stock a little (he wasn't a big man, and neither am I) as well as the barrel:
