Ive seen all these 1911 on here, and they all look the same to me. You've seen one, you've seen them all. But really, there are so many nice looking pistols its kind of hard to pick one.

Waayyy back in 1995, when I was looking for a "sexy" back bay shallow water boat, I came upon the conclusion that the old Architect Frank Lloyd Wright had it correct.

Form follows function. So I bought a Majek RFL. Never regretted it.

So, I applied the same thought to my purchase of a semi-automatic pistol, and went with the Berretta 92FS Compact. Not a true compact, but never looked back.

The 92FS was one of original choices when I decided on the Glock. A friend had one with the rod guide laser what looked sweet.

Not mine, but I have one very much like it. S&W Model 25-5. Mine has the target trigger and grips, but has never been fired. Never will be either.

dlance, whats the story behind the A&M colt?

I found serial number (I think) TAMU-188 in my dad's collection. Ironic that he has it since he is a t-sip. He says he bought it from tri-state or sullivans in Bryan in the later 80s. His has different grips. He also has a display case with it.

So get on a waiting list and you would have one by now.

The sooner you get it in, the sooner you can send the slide off to get cerakoted and turn it into a decent looking gun.
