Good to read an account of what I always thought hunting was. Spotting and stalking free-ranging animals in the wild.

I don't know why, but the moose photos make me laugh.

ursus, he got within about 6-8 feet from that bull before he decided he was close enough. Heck, I thought he was going to pet him.

The moose I saw in the timber was MUCH bigger than this moose.

As I expected, a full-fledged quality documentation of an experience of a lifetime. I appreciate the lack of sugar coating -- i.e. the admission of the failure to carry the release on the day's hunt -- to remind us that great successes often come with setbacks along the way (at least you didn't forget your arrows).

Congratulations on the realization of a dream. You set out to conquer it and you succeeded! It is not everyone that is willing to do what it takes to make it all happen. Nicely done!
