Able, not buying it. NOBODY would admit being from Carthage!

91, Google for black cougars and Texas. Think u'll find some claims of sightings. Still no Pink Panther sightings yet though.

It's been almost 20 years ago now but I saw a cougar cross a pipeline about 50 yards from my deer blind at our lease in Diboll. I nearly sharted myself.

Born in Center, lived in Tenaha, raised in Carthage. Ive seen beaver, otter, eagles, hogs, turkey, and rattlesnake. Never seen a bear or cougar.

Not so strangely never a bigfoot.



Timber rattlers and turkey are relatively common in Sabine river bottom east of Carthage.

I've seen wild turkies frequently near Smithville (SE of Austin)

Never seen a cougar out here but the rumors persist. Have seen some incredible owls and a few fox.

Quite possible of course. 20 years later and I'm still pissed my Daddy wouldn't let me keep the bobcat kitten he orphaned. That little kitten loved me!
