FTF, FTE, factory mags popping out, you name it it had it.

Maybe the ammo was junk and it did not like it. Used mostly Monarch and Fiocci.

Good news is the mecgar mag functioned well.

I'll give it one more chance with some remington and winchester white box.

Why in the hell would the mag pop out on it's own? I know my finger did not hit it. The same thing happened to my buddy also. The winchester ranger 127 gr P+ was the first ammo I ran in the factory mag and it popped out after about 3 rounds. I thought maybe it couldnt handle those so I went to target load and same thing a few more times.

I had a P90 I sold on here with similar problems. After some investigating and different firing procedures, turns out the magazine ejector spring had snapped just a millimeter or two off the tip allowing the ejector button to give a little and never fully depress. This caused my magazines (factory) to sometimes jump out when firing and feeding issues because the magazine was not seated correctly by probably a millimeter.

Apparently this is a "normal maintenance" issue.

$2 spring and $5 shipping later. BAM! I was like El Mariachi in Mexico.

Is your P95 new? I agree something sounds broken. Mine fires everything I've run through it, including Monarch and Fiocci without a single problem like you're describing. I'd send it back if it were new, or at least have it checked out.

I am the second owner I believe. Bought it from a buddy who put about 200 rounds through it prior to me buying it. I think he bought it new, not sure.

So how difficult is it to replace that mag catch spring?

Well I sent a professional email to Ruger customer service. Let's see if it goes anywhere.

you should be able to tell fairly quickly if that is the problem.

It is really easy, just tedious. Take off one of the grip plates and just some needle nose pliers. You have to install it compressed obviously but when you decompress it, it will have to be seated in the correct grove. It will definitely take a few tries.

I have several hundered rounds through my P95 and never had any of those problems. I did buy mine new though.

Yeah I never had any type of error until this spring broke. The P-Series are pretty smooth guns.

Got an email back from Ruger customer service. They said call them during work hours.

I'll call them tomorrow with the gun in front of me per the email.
