Looking for some custom Texas A&M grips to put on a new Kimber 1911. The pistol is a graduation gift for my son who will be graduating May 11 2012. Please help me make this pistol something he will want to pass down for generations to come......

James Avery sells small, "ATM" logo sterling pendents. I have some burl walnut grips made for my 329NG, with those set in them - they look quite nice.

The stock maker, John Valicek, tried to find some maroon epoxy to set the silver, but ended up having to go w. black.

I have no idea if Valicek is still doing that kind of work (it was several years ago, and he was an elderly man.)

I'm sure tx4guns will do a lovely job, but I thought I'd mention the idea of inlaying the silver logo.

I'm out of the pewter ATM emblems. I can still get sterling silver ones. Please send me an email to discuss the James Avery charms. I've never used them and need to know exactly what they are before I commit to the job.

thanks for all the response. I found the man to make it happen and Im sure my son will love his 1911 with the aggie grips. Im hoping the pistol will get handed down to his kids and grandkids. Thanks again......
